THE CONSERVATORY STANDARD

The Yamaha CX Series is found in the practice rooms of leading conservatories worldwide. Remenyi House of Music supplies these instruments to advanced students, professional musicians, and recording studios across Toronto. The CX Series inherits design elements from the flagship CFX concert grand and offers a wide dynamic range with accurate response to touch.

TONAL RANGE AND PROJECTION

The CX Series is engineered to project a clear, defined tone over an orchestra or across a large venue, with a sustained singing resonance. The re-engineered acoustic design produces a precise attack and even response across the keyboard, suited to demanding solo and ensemble repertoire.

BUILD AND CONSTRUCTION

A CX Series grand is assembled from thousands of components, from milled wood to high-tension steel, into a single precision instrument. As a leading GTA destination for Yamaha grand pianos, Remenyi delivers each CX instrument fully prepared and regulated.

MATERIALS

The CX Series draws directly on CFX technology. The back frame is approximately 20% thicker than the previous generation, increasing structural support and resonance. The European spruce soundboard delivers a wide dynamic range, and newly developed music wire produces complex overtones. The hammers use the same grade of premium felt as the CFX.

CRAFTMANSHIP

Building a CX grand combines precision manufacturing with hand-craftsmanship. The soundboard is shaped, or "crowned," for optimal vibration, and Yamaha's technicians bond the ribs to the soundboard by hand. Action regulation and hammer voicing are completed to exacting standards so each instrument performs consistently.

LONG-TERM VALUE AND SUSTAINABILITY

The CX Series is built to serve advanced players and institutions over the long term. Yamaha's investment in sustainable forestry and manufacturing helps protect both the materials used in the series and the instrument's long-term value across the Greater Toronto Area.
