This current edition comprises a set of six compositions by Josef Suk (1874-1935) in a simple arrangement for violin and piano, written by his grandson, violin virtuoso Josef A. Suk. All these works have appeared in print before (individually, most often as part of Supraphon's popular edition); however, in this edition, bowings and fingerings have been newly revised by the arranger. The set includes Melody, Bagatelle, Lullaby, Evening Mood, Village Serenade, and, finally, Song of Love, the only composition in this edition arranged by violin virtuoso Jaroslav Kocian.
