On Wednesday, July 17th, Remenyi is pleased to present:

Music Uncovered: Exploring New Choral Releases

Led by conductor Mitchell Pady and joined by Chroma Vocal Ensemble, the choir will act as section leaders as attendees sing through exciting new choral repertoire released in 2023 and 2024.

Details:

  • Wednesday, July 17, 6:30pm-9:30pm
  • Remenyi House of Music (now located at 109 Vanderhoof Ave, Toronto)
  • $10 admission fee (this helps to cover the cost of music which you get to keep!)
RSVP here to let us know you're interested!

If we haven't convinced you yet, read on for some more reasons why you should attend this session!

1. Access an exclusive promotion:

This event takes place during our annual Choral Summer Sale. Attendees of the reading session get access to an exclusive extra deal!

2. Option to sit back & listen:

For the first time, we’re joined by a talented ensemble leading the way! While your singing along is encouraged, Chroma will be there to take the reins if you prefer to observe and listen.

3. See the crew:

We’re well into the “return to normal” post-pandemic, but that doesn’t mean we don’t still relish the chance to spend time singing with fellow choral lovers.

4. Get your music packet:

Yours to keep—20 pieces of SATB repertoire covering a range of genres and difficulty levels.

We're excited to feature a talented conductor to lead our session.

About Mitchell Pady

Mitchell Pady studied voice and composition at Western University and has had the great fortune to work with many visionary choral conductors, including Sir David Willcocks, Derek Holman, Robert Cooper, Helmuth Rilling, and Paul Hillier.

In addition to Chroma Vocal Ensemble, Mitchell is the artistic director of The Cellar Singers, Oriana Women’s Choir, and the project based ensemble Acquired Taste. Mitchell has also served as guest conductor for the Elmer Iseler Singers. Mitchell is a member of the faculty of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, the Interprovincial Music Camp, and is a regular guest coach with the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Dora and Juno award winner, Mitchell sings professionally with the Elmer Iseler Singers under Lydia Adams, and Choir 21 with David Fallis, as well as being featured as a pops soloist under the baton of the late Howard Cable. Mitchell has recorded for Naxos, Perimeter Records, Centrediscs and Chandos.

Members of Chroma Vocal Ensemble will act as section leaders during the session, helping to lead the way as we sing through exciting new repertoire!
